I just thought of sharing another success with RTI.
My second application was to Rajiv Gandhi Rural Housing Corporation Ltd
(RGRHCL) (A govt. of Karnataka undertaking) which releases subsidy of
Rs.10,000 for the poor to build the house.
The RGRHCL had released subsidy for about 60 people to the Tauk Panchayat
of Jaipur who in turn has to release it to the Implementing agency. But even
after 5 months the Executive Officer of TP gave 101 excuses but never
released money inspite of MD calling him & warning. I got fed up and filed
RTI applcation to RGRHCL enquiring what is the punishment for such officers
and some other information. Ten days after this the EO came to the doors of
the Implementing agency & personally handed over the cheque. Rajni
