On submission the PIO should contact you and ask you to remit the fee for the information you require. The fee can be paid though cash, DD or IPO. As the payment rules vary from state to state the user is requested to check the fees schedule for their state (check your state rules) . Payment of fees is required for copies of documents, inspection of records at the office and collection of samples. For those who hold a below-the-poverty-line ration card there are no fees for the information. Further, if the information is delivered after 30 days, no payment of fees is required and the applicant can ask for refund of any fees paid for the information.
